For over 100 years, German plumbing manufacturer GROHE has created award-winning faucets that are now used across the world. This guide will examine what makes GROHE kitchen faucets unique, and why a GROHE faucet is right for your home.

The Basics

A woman washing lettuce in the sink with the kitchen faucetAs a top player in the luxury plumbing manufacturing industry, GROHE is detail and design oriented. By employing the top designers in the industry, GROHE’s in-house team of designers ensure that their faucets are streamlined and unique to their brand. GROHE does not make hundreds of faucets to accommodate homeowners; instead, they focus on creating a select number of faucets at the highest quality possible. Generally leaning towards contemporary and modern design, less is more with GROHE faucets.

Pick Your Finish

Almost every GROHE kitchen faucet is available in a chrome finish. GROHE’s patented Starlight Chrome finish is plated with sub layers of copper and nickel for non-porous durability. The evenly layered chrome surface shines like a mirror to add sparkle to your kitchen.

The second most popular GROHE finish is stainless steel. GROHE has two kinds of stainless steel finishes – SuperSteel and traditional stainless. SuperSteel goes through a special vapor process that makes it impervious to corrosion and scratches, resulting in a finish that is 10 times more scratch resistant than chrome. It also hides fingerprints and water splashes well.

In addition to chrome and stainless finishes, GROHE kitchen faucets are available in brushed nickel and oil rubbed bronze.

In addition to unique finishes like SuperSteel and Starlight Chrome, GROHE kitchen faucets are designed and built with sustainability and durability in mind. That is why GROHE faucets include special features, such as:

GROHE SilkMove – The joints of the faucet handles and spouts are engineered to feel soft and smooth as they move. This will help the faucet last longer and prevent the joints from stripping or sticking over time.

GROHE Zero – Thanks to an alloy unique to GROHE, kitchen faucets are lead-free and corrosion-resistant.

GROHE Whisper – This innovative technology quiets water as it moves through the faucet.

GROHE SpeedClean – This anti-lime system prevents your faucet spout from clogging. Simply swipe your finger across the spout and your faucet will work like new.

New Additions

There are two-new additions to GROHE’s catalog of kitchen faucets that have been receiving buzz ever since they were announced.

The GROHE K-7 collection consists of industrial inspired faucets with spiral-spring necks, known as semi-pros. Both the full-size and medium semi-pro faucets are influenced by the spring faucets used in restaurant kitchens. Each K-7 faucet is available in Starlight Chrome and Stainless Steel finishes.
